Sporting Events Make The Perfect First Date
Deciding on the perfect first date can be a daunting experience.
On top of worrying about making a good first impression, you need to plan something which is suitable for meeting for the first time and which is fun and entertaining.
Though a dinner can be easy to choose, the pressure of having to sit across from each other and talk the entire night can be overwhelming, and simply going to a film doesn’t allow you to talk at all.
There has to be a middle point where you can be entertained and still have time to chat.
So, what’s the perfect first date?
Try going to a sporting event!
From football and soccer in the fall to basketball in the winter and baseball in the spring and summer, there’s always a sporting event going on.
And, even if you or your date don’t have a lot of interest in the sport you’re seeing, it can still be a fun evening.
Sitting together in the stands, cheering for the home team while enjoying drinks and snacks is a great time and the atmosphere of tons of cheering fans is contagious.
Plus, having a game going on is something to distract you from unavoidable first date silences, which are common but can often hinder first dates.
In the winter, take in a hockey or basketball game.
Both are relatively inexpensive and, unlike other sporting events, only last a couple of hours.
Remember, though, to bundle up for a game on the ice and wear a T-shirt to a basketball game, since large crowds and heat from the court make the arena a little stuffy.
And, if you’re not interested in just sitting and watching, baseball and football games are much more interactive events that don’t start when the game begins or end when the quarter or inning is finished.
Go early to a football game to tailgate in the parking lot with other game goers or a group of friends.
Bring along a mini-grill to cook hotdogs and hamburgers on and bring a cooler full of drinks to enjoy before having to pay high prices in the stadium.
Take breaks from a baseball game to get out of your seat and enjoy a hotdog, cold beer or soda and Cracker Jacks.
Most baseball parks have indoor areas with a bar and television so you can still keep up with the game with a change of atmosphere.
Need another perfect first date?

Choosing the perfect first date can be overwhelming but sporting events allow you to chat without so much pressure.
Cheering on the home team, while enjoying drinks and snacks, is great, even if you don’t like sports, and the atmosphere is unbeatable.
Hockey and basketball games are less expensive and, since they play so many games, there are plenty to go to in the winter.
Tailgate in the parking lot before a football game for the perfect first date experience.
